![]() I told them that its absurd to not ask for everything they need on their initial background check and identity verification form and told them she was already in the air. They said, no exceptions, they would not issue her access to the building if we didn't comply. She was already on an airplane travelling to Austin and I was unable to reach her. Fast forward 2-weeks after booking and completing their initial nonsense, the DAY OF her scheduled arrival they text and say that now they need a "selfie" of my employee, holding the ID that we previously sent them. We were mildly annoyed, the place didn't look that high class online (no different than a 4-star hotel) and to be put through the extra friction and hassle seemed odd. We had to fill out a lengthy form and send a picture of the front and back of her drivers license. I've booked travel thousands of times over my career and was immediately taken aback by the request for identity verification and a background check of my employee. I booked this property for an employee of mine travelling to Austin. We were looking forward to this trip for a long time ( our first to Austin) and this place was a buzz kill for us.… They always had to come from somewhere else. ![]() ![]() There was never one employee on location. Instead, we checked out that morning and went straight to the airport and spent the day there until it was time to leave. Our plan was to do things after checking out and then going back to get our luggage before going to the airport. I felt like I was such a burden that I didnt want to ask them to hold our luggage again, after we checked out. On our last day, our plane didnt leave until 5. I ended up spending a fortune on Ubers so we wouldn't have to walk through there. There are homeless people there that haggle you. Its located on East 6th but you have to walk under an underpass to go downtown. I felt that I was being a burden to them. I finally had to text them a picture of the duvet cover but I didn't get the sheets until 10 30 PM, the day after I asked for them. It wasn't sheets, it was an extra duvet cover. There were no extra sheets and when I texted, I was told they were in the closet. During the night, there was an accident and the sheets got dirty. I had to call for a coffee pot, which they brought quickly. At home, I keep mine at 62 so it was hot and uncomfortable to us. The temp on the AC could not be set less than 68. My daughter tried to sleep on the couch but it was rock hard and very uncomfortable. The bed is a Murphy bed-not a real one and not the most comfortable. (Um? I arrived at 9 am when I called for our luggage?) The room looked exactly as it did in the pic. About an hour later, I get a text from someone else asking what time I d be arriving. I contacted someone after multiple attempts and they sent someone to get our luggage. Finally, a resident let us in the hallway, which was very hot. We took an Uber there straight from the airport. I was told yes, that there would be someone at the property. I communicated to them beforehand, that our plane would be landing at 9 am and asked if they could hold our luggage until the room was ready. ![]() Barcelo Bavaro Palace All Inclusive Resort.Hotels near The College of Health Care Professions.Hotels near ITT Technical Institute - Austin Campus.Hotels near Austin Graduate School of Theology.Hotels near Le Cordon Bleu - Austin, TX.Hotels near University of Phoenix - Austin Campus.Hotels near Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.Hotels near Huston-Tillotson University.Hotels near Santa Cruz Center for Culture.Hotels near The Guild East Side | Indie.
